Andrographis:-
Geography:-
This plant grows in many areas, including India, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and Pakistan, but is largely grown in Thailand, the East and West Indies, Mauritius and Thailand.
Identification:-
Andrographis paniculata is an annual herb whose branches are 1 1 / 2 meter to 3 meter high.
Benefits:-
Andrographis paniculata was promoted as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial agent, blood clot prevention and some argue that it can fight and kill cancer cells. It is also used as a digestive aid, expectorant, sedative and can be used to combat pests.
Features:-
This herb is considered a "cold property" herb and is often used to rid the body of toxins and fevers.
Considerations:-
# Occasional side effects include infertility, heart palpitations and dizziness. Some may be allergic and have a more pronounced reaction. Women who are pregnant should avoid this herb as it has abortifacient properties.
Andrographis has an extensive history of use in both traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medical system. It is sometimes called Indian echinacea. It is also widely used in Scandinavia to strengthen the immune system to fight colds and flu.
