Priapism Treatment



Priapism ( Penis Disease ) :
Introduction:
Priapism is unusual for long periods and painful in many cases, erectile dysfunction. Usually, this erection is not caused by sexual desire or motivation, is not exempt from ecstasy. Priapism may start after sexual activity for long periods, although this is not by itself believed to cause priapism. Most of the men to seek medical attention within hours to days, but few people may have a partial erection that lasts for weeks.

Priapism can affect men at any age. Most cases occurred in children aged between 5 to 10 years or men aged between 20 to 50 years. Common causes include:

* Alcohol or cocaine abuse
* Medications, including antidepressants, particularly trazodone (Desyrel), tranquilizers, and blood pressure drugs blood thinners
* Problems in the spinal cord
* Shock to the genitals, thigh or pelvis.
* Sickle cell anemia
Anesthesia *
* Penile injection therapy as part of the system for the treatment of impotence

Prevention:-

Treatment:-

You should call your doctor if you develop an erection that lasts longer than four to six hours, especially if the erection is painful and not because of sexual stimulation.

Predict:-

If priapism is not treated early, the result is usually excellent. However, if the delay in medical care, the problem can lead to permanent disability.
