Syphilis Treatment:
What is syphilis?.
Syphilis (say: "siff - uh - liss" is a serious infection transmitted from person to person during sexual intercourse. It is caused by a bacteria (germ). You could get syphilis by touching the blood or sores of the person who had syphilis, sores, especially on a person's mouth, penis, vagina or anus (opening to the rectum).
What are the symptoms of syphilis?.
The first stage of syphilis is called primary syphilis, which typically occurs 10 days and 3 months after exposure. In men, may be the first sign of syphilis be painful to the penis. How do I know my syphilis has been treated?.
After the completion of treatment, your doctor will ask you to return several times for blood tests. These tests will show whether the medicine to kill all bacteria and syphilis.
What is the relationship between HIV and syphilis?.
Syphilis can be transmitted from one person to another during sex. If you got syphilis, you could also have got another infection of HIV or sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea.
